Century Direct Group Research – The main demand of workers in Southeast Asia in this May has been to end the cheap labor, but employers warned that rising labor costs will decrease foreign investment.
Thousands of workers marched in Jakarta Phnom Penh Manila and other cities in the region during this day to claim wages with which to cope with rising prices, especially food, and other improvements in working conditions.
The minimum monthly wage is around $295 (222 euros) in Thailand, $270 (203 euros) in the Philippines, $158 (119 euros) in Indonesia, $91 (68 euros) in Vietnam and about $75 (56 euros) in Cambodia.

Century Direct Group Research – Owners of flats at Jumeirah Beach Residence are not pleased with the new parking rule. The new rule states all cars have to have a pass otherwise they will not be allowed in. This new fee for the car pass is whats bothering the residents. They want to pay this on top of the high maintenance fees each year. However, on the other hand some are all for it since often they come to their parking spot to find it filled. Complaints were filed to security but nothing was done to take care of the issue.

Century Direct Group Research – A Chinese fisherman was given a jail sentence after being found guilty in the stabbing of a South Korean Chinese fisherman jailed for South Korea coast guard. Besides for the jail sentence the fisherman also received a hefty fine.
The fisherman was stopped for fishing illegally when he killed one and injured another. The fisherman tried to deny the incident but was found guilty after evidence pointed in his directed; his clothing had blood on it and he was in possession of a weapon.
Since this incident, South Korea plans on boosting funding for the coast guards, reports inform Century Direct Group Research.

Century Direct Group Research – Back in February a Malaysia monorail rider was dragged for eight meters. She is now seeking compensation for the incident, reports inform Century Direct Group Research.
Lim Cui Hong decided last minute to exit the monorail she got on as it was too filled. Her hand got stuck in between the automatic doors and she was not able to release it. A guard noticed what happened and tried to alert the driver but the train already started to move and was dragged along. When the train finally stopped she fell in between it and the platform. She sustained many injuries in various areas. She has many medical expenses and is looking for some compensation. Hong should be covered with the liability coverage from the company but that has not been confirmed.

Century Direct Group Research – Seven people have been announced dead with close to two dozen injured in three separate accidents in a short span of time across India.
The first accident involved a bus and a truck trailer. The bus rammed into the truck which caused a fire to start.
The second took place in the Assam Nagaon district, where a fire brigade vehicle and a truck slammed into each other.
The third accident involved a driver who lost control of his car which then flipped over.
